8-Bits
I'm gonna age myself and say that I grew up playing the first Nintendo in the 80's. Long story short, I came across these two art works inspired by the classic Nintendo characters, Mario and Link. Mario & Link are in their 8-bit form, but the artist painted them in a surreal way. I'll put the link below, check it out!!
On a side note, for those with iPhones, check out "instagram" from the APP store. I'm not sure if the ANDROID phones have it, but see if you do. What it does is it takes a photo from your phone and alters the effects. So you can take a boring normal picture and play with the colors, turn it into a black&white photo, etc etc.
